Jello was a favorite dessert when I was a kid. It was sweet, cheap, and easy to make. We always mixed ours with cool whip and berries. Since I’ve gone keto, I haven’t had it once. Sugar Free Jello is filled with chemicals, so even though there may not be a lot of carbs in it, it is NOT keto. Remember, we are in it for overall health. Not just to lose weight. I did find unflavored gelatine in the store. It’s made by Knox. and has nothing in it but gelatin.
Gelatin, is actually really good for you. I do add collagen powder to my coffee in the morning daily to help with loose skin and hair loss. People who lose a lot of weight sometimes have hair loss and I definitely have lose skin!
Here’s an article from Medical News Today on some of the benefits of eating gelatin.
This morning one of the ladies in my class asked me about making sugar free jello. I told her that I had a box of the knox brand sitting in my pantry but have not done anything with it yet. No time like the present for an experiment!
There are 3 ingredients. 4 if you want the flavoring to be a little stronger.
Knox Unflavored Gelatine
Unsweetened Raspberry Tea bags (I used Celestial Seasonings Raspberry Zinger)
liquid stevia (granulated will also work)
I hope you enjoy it!
