Who doesn’t love tacos? After all, it has a whole day of the week named for it! And the good thing is that taco seasoning is a great option for us ketonians! Yes, it’s true that if you look at a packet of taco seasoning, it IS low carb. But, if you are doing clean keto, it technically is NOT keto. There are all kinds of additives and preservatives thrown in. Some even have sugar added in. So, for just pennies, you can make a clean keto taco seasoning mix.
Here is an awesome taco seasoning recipe that’s delicious, true keto, and can be sprinkled right onto pork, chicken or beef to make a great salad or can be cooked right into the meat, like the store bought packets. Just add a little bit of water while cooking. If you like it saucy, add a can of tomato paste too! I like mine a little on the spicy side. If you don’t like quite as spicy, you can omit the crushed red pepper and the cayenne.
