One thing I want you to all remember when eating this way (or any way for that matter) weight loss is not linear. It will go up and down. And I know that’s really frustrating! Especially when you feel like you’ve been really good and hitting your macros each day and drinking your water. Here’s a few graphics from my journey over the last year. You’ll notice the graph for the last year goes up and down and even levels out in places.
When that happens you have to trust the process, because it WILL work. Be patient and continue to do well. Don’t use it as an opportunity to cheat or overeat.
Now look at the graph for the last 2 months. I definitely went up! And yes, I was frustrated. I’m so close to my goal compared to where I started. But, I keep going. drank my water, and worked on getting enough sleep(something I struggle with!! and hit my macros. Now forward to this week.
I finally got my woosh!
Your body will hold hold water as the fat cells before they shrink down. You may feel extra jiggly at those times. Then the cells release the water. You may lose 2 or 3 pounds overnight, which is what happened to me this morning. Stick with your plan. Be patient. The process works if you allow it to.
I started this journey over 2 years ago. I have lost 117 pounds as of this morning. I have 12 to go. I know it will go slower as I get closer to my goal, but I really believe in this way of eating. Eating keto allows me to eat foods that I love, without feeling like I am missing something or being deprived of my favorite foods. I’ve found ways to eat sweets, pasta, ice cream and other favorites that are usually no-nos. Granted, it may take some planning and prepping when I travel, but for me its totally worth it.
I have a new class starting Monday. If you’d like to learn how to follow a ketogenic diet, to help you feel better and lose weight in the process, send me an email or click the paypal link to enroll.
